Somali Pediatric Association and Nova Diagnostics to Commemorate International Child Cancer Day
The Somali Pediatric Association, in collaboration with Nova Diagnostics & Research, is inviting the medical community to join in commemorating International Childhood Cancer Day. This important event will also mark the official establishment of the Nova Diagnostics & Research Hall, a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services for children in Somalia.
International Childhood Cancer Day, observed globally on February 15, serves to raise awareness about childhood cancer and the importance of early diagnosis, treatment, and support for children and their families. The Somali Pediatric Association, alongside Nova Diagnostics & Research, has organized this event to not only honor the day but also highlight the vital role of research and diagnostics in the fight against childhood cancer.
“We are thrilled to bring attention to the growing need for childhood cancer care in Somalia,” said a spokesperson for the Somali Pediatric Association. “This event is an opportunity for us to come together as a community and reaffirm our commitment to improving healthcare and supporting young cancer patients.”
The commemoration event will include presentations, expert discussions, and the formal unveiling of the Nova Diagnostics & Research Hall, which will serve as a hub for advanced diagnostic services and cancer research in Somalia. The hall is a crucial step towards enhancing the healthcare infrastructure for the treatment and prevention of childhood cancers.
The Somali Pediatric Association, Nova Diagnostics, and other healthcare professionals will continue to advocate for improved cancer care, better access to treatment, and further research to fight pediatric cancer.
